Treating Acne

Acne is an inflammation of the skin in which the pores become blocked and display themselves as inflammation of things like the blackheads, whiteheads and pimples. Pimples should not be pinched, squeezed or picked. This causes it to become red and inflamed and spreads bacteria. Apply ice packs to the pimple for 2 minutes after every 30 minutes. It helps to reduce the pain and swelling. If needed to wear makeup, wear oil-free makeup. Cleanse your skin with an acne-fighting medicine to remove oil, dirt and makeup. A dab of toothpaste on the affected area before going to bed can soothe irritation and redness. Pressing a wet tea bag or a cotton ball, with a dab of lemon juice against the blemish for five minutes helps to reduce swelling and redness.
